How to Setup a Default Email Address

A Default Email Address can be used to notify senders that they have sent to an invalid email address. Alternatively it can allow mail sent to an invalid email address to be forwarded to someone elses email address.

  1. Login to your self managed email account. If you are unsure on how to login please click here.
  2. Click on Default Address.
  3. If you would like the emailer to be informed of the invalid email, choose Discard the email option and enter a failure message. Please note this option is selected by default.
  4. If you would like the email to be forwarded to someone elses email address select Forward to Email Address option and enter the full email address.
  5. Click Change.
