ADDING an email auto reply
- Login to your self managed email account. If you do not know how to login to webmail, please read this article.
- Click on Auto Responders.
- Click Add Auto Responder.
- Leave the Character Set as the default UTF-8.
- Set the Interval (iProperty recommends setting this to 8 hours.The Interval tells the auto reply the amount of time to wait before they send the auto reply to a sender again. For example you set the Interval to 8 hours. John Doe sends you an email and receives your auto reply. If John Doe sends you more emails, he will not receive another auto reply until 8 hours after his first email.
- Enter your name into the From field.
- Enter a custom subject into the Subject field.
- Enter your email message into the Body.
- Choose to set Start to Immediately or Custom. If you choose Custom you will be able to choose the start date and time for you auto reply.
- Choose to set Finish to Never or Custom. If you choose Custom you will be able to choose the finish date and time for your auto reply.
- Click Create/Modify.
Note:
Email auto replies take effect immediately. If you set a custom start and finish time your email auto reply will start and finish at the date and time specified. If you choose Never as your finish time, your email auto reply will continue until it is deleted from your self managed account.
REMOVING an email auto reply
- Login to your self managed email account.
- Click on Auto Responders.
- Click the Delete link next to the email auto reply.
