People who attend inspections that are added as inspection visitors can be automatically sent an SMS at the time they are added as a visitor. This can happen when the visitor is manually added to the inspection in iDashboard, when the visitor checks in via QR code check-in, or when they are added by the agent via the Open Home Wizard.
Please Note: the SMS feature in iDashboard requires credit in your account to automatically send an SMS to open home visitors. You can learn how to add credit to your account by clicking here.
How to Create the Automation
- Go to Admin & Account Settings > Automations.
- Click Add Automation
- Complete the form with the following details
- Automation Name: SMS Open Home Visitors
- Scope: Automation runs for everyone in the office
- Only run once per property: No
- Only run once per contact: No
- Only run once per contact per property: If you want repeat visitors to the same property to be messaged every time, select No. If you want a visitor to only be messaged the first time they attend an inspection, select Yes
- Click Add Automation
- If you are not redirected to the automation builder, click on the name of the automation that was just created.
- In the Flow Builder tab, click the Add Trigger box and select the Visitor attends an inspection option.
- Click Add Step
- Click Notify someone by SMS
- In the Edit Automation Step window, set the following:
- To: Select The Contact.
- From: Select the appropriate option from the list. We recommend that all agents have a mobile number associated with their profile so they can receive any replies to the SMS sent.
- SMS Message: Enter the SMS message you would like to send to visitors who have attended an open home. An example message has been provided below:
Hi {{contact.first_name}}, Thank you for attending our inspection at {{property.street}}, {{property.suburb}}. We look forward to speaking with you soon regarding your feedback and any queries you may have.
- Click Save
