Automations allow iDashboard to automatically perform tasks that may normally take you hours to do manually. For example, automations can automatically send an SMS to people who attend an open home, or even automatically reply to enquiries that have been received.
There are several settings available when creating an automation, and an explanation of each option has been provided below.
Automation Name: This is the internal name for the automation and is only seen on the Automations screen. For example, if you were creating an automation to automatically send SMS to open home visitors, the automation name could be SMS Open Home Visitors.
Scope: Scope dictates who the automation applies to. The following options are available:
- Automation runs for everyone in the office: this means the automation can run on any property or contact in iDashboard, regardless of the agent assigned.
- Automation runs for my contacts and properties: this means the automation can only run for properties and contacts that belong to the agent who created the automation.
Only run once per property: Setting this to Yes means that the automation can only run one time per property, and setting this to No means that the automation can run multiple times per property.
Only run once per contact: Setting this to Yes means that the automation can only run one time per contact, and setting this to No means that the automation can run multiple times per contact.
Only run once per property per contact: Setting this to Yes means that the automation can only run one time per property per contact, and setting this to No means that the automation can run multiple times per property per contact. This setting is applicable for automations that automatically send enquiry responses or SMS to open home visitors.
